After a Stressful Week, Take Care of Yourself, Dear Mama


Dear mama,

I know you’re tired.  From your daily grind of preparing meals for your family, taking care of your baby and making sure your house is organized (not to forget the stressful news of sexual harassment among women), you deserve a lovely and peaceful night.

I hope you give yourself a break, your much-needed break from this tough world.  After all, you deserve to take care of yourself. You’ve been hard at work. You’ve been juggling many roles as doting mama and a loving wife.

I hope you integrate these simple, relaxing activities to celebrate your being you.

Sleep, don’t click

Take time to sleep.  You need to regain your energy and positivity for a new day of new beginnings and new challenges.  Turn off social media every night to pave way for a good sleep. You’ll be amazed at the positive changes that it will bring to you and your loved ones.

Pamper yourself

Treat yourself to things that will make you happy.  Indulge in shopping. Have a spa date with your girlfriends or attend a yoga class twice a week.  Tip: Don’t be guilty. You deserve it.

Be grateful

Despite the trials and tribulations, be filled with gratitude and hope of the blessings that you have.  The happy and healthy life that you embrace with your partner and children is more than enough to keep enjoying life.  Let a gorgeous sunrise or a sweet hug of your toddler remind you that life is indeed beautiful.
